Do You Own A Commercial Business And Need A New HVAC System? 2 Types To Choose From

If you own a commercial business and your HVAC system is getting older, you should replace it. An older system uses much more energy raising your monthly energy bills. It also will not provide enough cool or warm air for your employees. Hire a commercial HVAC installation company to install a new system for you. Below are two types you can choose from.

Single Split HVAC System

If you have a small commercial building, the single split HVAC system would work well for you. With this, there are several units installed to distribute the cool or warm air to different areas of your building. The air is distributed to different refrigeration lines for cool air and furnaces for warm air. The air flows through air ducts into vent registers inside the building.

The HVAC systems are installed outside and each one is controlled separately. This type of HVAC unit is easy to set up and control. This means if you have one unit that goes down, the other units will continue working. The downside to a single split system is it requires a lot of space on your property.

Multi-Split HVAC Systems

Multi-split HVAC systems work much like single-split HVAC systems but are more energy efficient. With this type, there is one outdoor unit that is connected to several cooling and heating systems. This means it does not take up as much space when compared to installing several units outside.

Multi-split systems have sensors that can detect if there are changes in the temperature. This will then cause them to automatically change the temperature if needed. You will not have to manually change the temperature at any time. The heat pumps used in these systems use less energy. This type of HVAC system is much more complex, so it is much harder to install, maintain, and operate.

HVAC System Location

In most cases, the HVAC system is installed on the roof of your building to save you space. The also reduces the amount of noise you will hear inside your building when the unit is running. If a contractor needs to maintain or repair the HVAC system, they will be out of your way and not disrupt your business in any way. You do need to make sure your roof is in good condition before you install the HVAC system, however. If you are not sure. contact a roofing contractor to do an inspection.
